Hi there, my name is Yuu. I make music and have different projects. I work as "ramenGRL" for my experimental and electronic work, mostly inspired in jungle, drum & bass and breakcore, but sometimes I just do my own thing.
Then there's my "kami" alias which is directly connected to my new alter ego named "1ggy". kami is the alias I use for my underground rap production, where I'm also a part of the collective #grimm formed in the US by my homie 1lone.
Recently I formed my new collective called VirtuaClubAbyss with two of my friends, so I hope y'all check that too!
A little about me:
I'm a regular fellow. I love art and nerdy stuff. I have the obsession of finding new obscurities, be it in music, art, illustration, videogames or films. I really like to learn new things and I wanna lean my life to art and live art.
I know average music theory thanks to my family but I teached myself how to produce and do more stuff. My dream is to be an illustrator someday and draw manga representing my psyche and traumas, developing realistic psychological characters and touching philosophical matters to make people like me know that they are not alone and don't give up in this sinister life.
Artists such like Yoshitaka Amano, Yoshitoshi Abe, Akihito Yoshitomi, Suehiro Maruo, Junji Ito, Toshio Saeki, Takato Yamamoto, Naoki Urasawa, Inio Asano, Yoshitomo Nara, Kentarou Miura and Hajime Ueda are some of my favorite illustrators.
I also really love photography, mostly neo-noir and urban photography. I love photographers such like Issei Suda, Nobuyoshi Araki, Daido Moriyama, Hiromix, Mika Ninagawa and more.
I'm totally in love with the horror genre. I love survival horror games like Clock Tower, Yuuyami Doori Tankentai, Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, Forbidden Siren, Biohazard, Moonlight Syndrome and much more. I love the horror genre in films, mostly japanese horror like Kairo and Dark Water. I love giallo movies such as Phenomena and Suspiria from Argento. My favorite movie directors are Sion Sono, Takeshi Kitano, Juzo Itami, Martin Scorsese, Danny Boyle, Bong Joon Ho, Stanley Kubrick and the Coen brothers to name some.
